Extra Curricula Activities
Hurst Hill PTA was started in March 2015, it originally started with just four members however since then it has grown in numbers and we now have 10 members. We have raised money for the school by holding coffee mornings, raffles and attending school events where we have sold refreshments to the pupils, parents and teachers. On a larger scale we have held two school discos and two fashion shows all of which were well attended and hugely successful! With the funds we have raised we have helped to pay for new equipment throughout the school, brought new play equipment for the outside area in EYFS and contributed towards two year 6 leavers parties. This year we are hoping to arrange and pay for a pantomime production to come into school for all year groups to enjoy, to pay for pupil published books for the upper key stages and hopefully many other exciting things that will benefit all pupils of Hurst Hill.
We have had support from the local community, parents, pupils and from teaching and non teaching staff of Hurst Hill, all of which we are extremely grateful!
We hope to continue with our success this academic year and should any parents/carers wish to join the PTA or just want to help out as and when they can please do not hesitate to contact any of the PTA members or why not pop along to one of our coffee morning where we discuss our up and coming events. These are held every half term and will be notified to all parents through parentmail and on the newsletter.
