School Uniform

All pupils are expected to wear school uniform. We believe this helps promote a positive school identity, supports and sets high standards of behaviour and actively encourages children to take a personal pride in their appearance.

Please ensure all of your child's uniform and PE kit is LABELLED clearly with their name.

Please see our Uniform Policy in the Policies section of our school website.

Uniform

School Uniform List

  • White shirt, blouse or polo shirt
  • Grey long trousers, pinafore or skirt (grey shorts can be worn summer term)
  • School red sweatshirt or cardigan with school logo
  • Sensible, smart, low, plain black shoes with white or black plain socks (no heels, trainers, open toed shoes, Dr Martin style boots or sandals)
  • Red gingham dress (summer term)

PE Uniform

P.E. Kit

  • Round neck T-shirt in house colour or plain white
  • Plain black or navy shorts (cycling shorts are not permitted)
  • Black pumps or trainers with white or black socks

Inclement weather – during the colder months it is essential pupils have the following additional items:

  • Plain black or navy tracksuit bottoms and a red or black hoody or school jumper (no logos other than the school logo)

Reception children are expected to have a named pump bag to hold their personal equipment (not a large sports bag). All other pupils come to school in their PE kit on their PE day.

Jewellery, Hair Ornaments, Make-up and Nail Varnish

For safety reasons, we do not allow children to wear jewellery. The exceptions to this rule are earring studs in pierced ears. Children are required to remove any items during P.E. lessons to prevent them from causing injury. This includes swimming.

Please note: Teachers are not permitted to remove earrings and plasters cannot be worn over the earrings. If you want your child’s ears pierced, then we suggest the beginning of the six- week summer holidays, so it has time to heal and doesn’t affect PE lessons.

Hair bands, ribbons or bows should be kept to a minimum, plain and red to match our uniform. Hair bands should not have large flowers or other decoration attached.

Make up and nail varnish should not be worn to school.

Extreme hairstyles are not appropriate for school. The use of styling products should be kept to a minimum and children should not have decorative lines or patterns cut into their hair or have hair coloured or dyed.

School sweatshirts and cardigans with the printed school logo can be purchased from Sans Kidzwear, Bilston Market or from Crested Schoolwear, Unit 4, Churchill Shopping Centre, Dudley.

All items without logos, can be bought from any uniform shop or supermarket. They are easily available, at very competitive prices. We then sell our school logo badges for you to sew on if you prefer. A complete list of the items needed for school uniform including those for Physical Education, is listed above.

Pre-Loved Uniform

We do provide our own selection of Pre-Loved uniform in the Lighthouse Room, to aid parents with the cost of uniform. Each item is clean and in good condition. We ask just 50p per item which will go into school fund. Any donations or requests, please speak to the school office.

Children who arrive at school wearing non-school uniform clothing will be loaned an appropriate item from our lost property to wear for that day if possible. The same system will apply for children who do not have a PE kit. Parents will be contacted to discuss the matter.

The school welcomes children from all backgrounds and faith communities. If there are serious reasons, for example on religious grounds, why parents want their child to wear clothes that differ from the school uniform, the Uniform Policy will consider such requests sympathetically. If any parent would like to request an exception to the uniform policy they should, in the first instance, contact the headteacher and then the Governors.

Lost Property

There is a lost property box in each phase. Please ask the class teacher if your child has lost an item. Label your child's clothes with their name and class to help us return items to the owner.
