🌟 After-School Clubs & Extra-Curricular Activities

At Hurst Hill Primary School, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. We are committed to providing our children with a wide range of experiences that allow them to discover new interests, develop their talents, build confidence and most importantly, have fun!

Throughout the year, we offer a varied programme of after-school clubs, extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities, covering areas such as sport, creativity, music, performance, wellbeing and outdoor learning.

These opportunities encourage children to try something new, develop new skills, make friends, build resilience and challenge themselves, while supporting our school values of Honesty, Attitude, Resilience, Respect and Caring.

🌳 Forest School

As part of our wider enrichment offer, every class will have the opportunity to take part in a half-term block of Forest School during the year, led by Mrs Whiston.

Forest School gives our children the opportunity to take their learning outdoors, explore the natural environment and develop skills such as independence, teamwork, problem-solving, creativity and resilience through practical, hands-on experiences.

Our Autumn Term programme includes a fantastic selection of clubs:

Clubs are available to different year groups and take place on selected days throughout the week.

📱 Booking After-School Clubs

Places for our after-school clubs are limited, so we encourage families to book promptly. Places can be reserved through the MCAS app.

We are proud of the range of opportunities available to our children and want every pupil to have experiences that enable them to learn, create, perform, compete, explore and thrive.

🎵 Music Lessons and Opportunities

At Hurst Hill Primary School, we recognise the important role that music plays in developing creativity, confidence and self-expression. We are pleased to offer a range of musical opportunities for our pupils.

🎶 Dudley Performing Arts
Music lessons are provided in school by Dudley Performing Arts, giving children the opportunity to develop their musical skills and enjoyment of music.

🎸 Rocksteady Music Lessons

We also offer Rocksteady music lessons in school. Rocksteady gives children an exciting opportunity to make music together and develop their musical and performance skills.

Rocksteady is an optional, parent-funded provision, with lessons taking place during the school day. Parents and carers who would like their child to take part can sign up and pay for lessons directly through Rocksteady.

These additional musical opportunities form part of our wider enrichment offer, helping children to discover new talents, build confidence and develop a love of music.
